The cutting of all types of leather and other materials is done using digital technologies. This not only saves time, but also a great deal of valuable materials. Despite the use of the latest technologies and machines, however, much of the production involves meticulous handcrafting. Our production workers are experienced craftspeople. Inspired by the season’s trends and looks, the Xsensible collection combines fashion with decades of craftsmanship. We craft our shoes in our state-of-the-art factory locations just outside Porto, in Portugal, in accordance with traditional methods that unite long-held values with new technologies.
Ultra-modern complex
Our factory locations in Portugal are equipped with ultra-modern machines and production facilities. Our master shoemakers develop unique fits for both orthopaedic shoes (Nimco) and ready-to-wear shoes (Xsensible and Nimco).
Innovation and sustainability
Research and development are major priorities for us. We constantly ask ourselves what we are doing well and what we can improve. Which new technologies are available now or can be expected in future. Sustainability is another priority and has grown in importance over the years. This means for example thinking about how to improve the energy efficiency of our premises and reduce wastage of materials.

The Japanese garden at the entrance, the transparent layout with ample use of glass, white and an abundance of daylight, LEAN work methods, sustainable material use and the smart, balanced design of our spaces are all examples of how we translate the Xsensible philosophy of balance into our architecture and working environment.
