Origin of the Stretchwalker

The Stretchwalker is a revolutionary innovation inspired by Japanese wooden flip-flops with a single point of support: the Ippon-ba Geta. This forms the basis of our patented Stretchwalker. The original deviser Tetsuya Nosaka, developed the first Stretchwalker concept. To this very day, Xsensible continues to work closely with the Nosaka family; a loyal partner with whom we share our success.

What does Stretchwalker technology do?

There’s a subtle midsole reinforcement to support your balance. In some shoes this is visible as the iconic ‘block’. In other models, the technology is less visible, but it works exactly the same. This balance point helps you remain stable so you retain a natural posture. You mainly notice the difference if you walk or stand a lot. Your movements are more controlled and feel stable, without feeling stiff or heavy.

What is Active Motion?

The sole stimulates your foot to roll naturally, from heel to toe. We call this Active Motion. The specially designed sole, with a rounded heel and slightly raised toe, ensures smooth movement. You can feel that every step is lighter and more flexible, relaxing your body during repetitive movements. Less resistance, less strain, more comfort.
