Close in everything we do

From materials to manufacturing, we consciously choose proximity. This way we maintain control over quality, work responsibly and ensure every shoe is made with care.

Humane working conditions

We believe it’s important that our shoes are made under humane conditions. That’s why we produce in Portugal, where we’re regularly present on the work floor. We know the people, see how things are made, and work together to keep improving. Thanks to our close cooperation, we can speak openly and continue to build on fair production.

Responsible material choice

We make a conscious choice for materials from Europe. Buying close to home enables us to monitor quality, so we can produce shoes that don’t only feel great to wear, but also last longer.

Efficient and fair process

Our shoes are produced closed to home. Having direct contact with our partners keeps the process personal and transparent. We can switch gears quickly, work on a small scale and test every prototype with care. This enables us to stay connected, both in approach and focus.

Partners in perfection

Precious Saturday, Guimarães

In northern Portugal, we collaborate with Precious Saturday, where traditional craftsmanship meets modern technology. The factory is equipped with state-of-the-art machines, but the heart of the work lies with the artisans who pass their skills down from generation to generation. In a time when handcraft is becoming rare, this knowledge remains alive thanks to their dedication and passion for the craft. From leather assessment to stitching and distribution, every step is carried out with meticulous care. Our decades-long partnership is built on mutual trust and commitment.

Netos, São João da Madeira

Netos has been a trusted Xsensible production partner for over twenty years. Their factory in the heart of the Portuguese shoe industry is known for craftsmanship and reliability. They produce various models for us and have extensive knowledge of sandals. We were seeking a partner who understands how a comfortable sandal is constructed so we could develop a perfectly-contoured footbed. Their insight of materials and fit enables them to deliver consistent quality at the highest level.

Perfect Eject, Felgueiras

Perfect Eject, known for its technical knowledge and innovative solutions, has been a trusted Xsensible production partner for decades. They’re brilliant at translating ideas into feasible products and, as valuable sparring partners, they actively come up with their own ideas. In such a dynamic market, we really need each other to continue developing. Their passion for shoes and dedication to quality is reflected in every detail, as their craftsmen manufacture each pair of shoes with care and precision.

Nimco, Cesar

As well as our production partners, we also have our own factory in Cesar, Portugal; a region with a rich shoe tradition. Shoes have been produced here under Nimco’s management since 2000. The company was founded in 1904 in Nijmegen and has been bringing generations of craftsmen together ever since. We’re building on that knowledge in Portugal, combining craftsmanship with modern techniques and materials. Every day, we draw on over a century of experience and data to continuously test, refine and improve our shoes.
